Parish CouncilThe Parish Council advises the pastoral staff, sets goals, and provides leadership for the parish. New council members are elected each year for terms of three years.
Parish Finance CouncilThe Parish Finance Council aids the pastor and pastoral staff to set the annual budget, periodically reviews parish finances and make recommendations. The financial council is appointed by the pastor.
Liturgy CommitteePlans, implements and evaluates the worship life for the parish. Meets monthly, September through June.
Faith Formation CommitteeWorks with pastoral staff to shape and evaluate the religious education of parishioners of all ages.
Outreach and Social JusticePromotes parish response to the practical work of Christian believers. Catholic teaching about social justice and the protection of all human life underlie this committee's task.
YouthPromotes growth of Catholic faith among parish youth.
Building, Grounds, MaintenanceOversees the parish's physical plant and makes recommendations concerning improvements.
Communications and InformationEnsures that parishioners and the larger community beyond the parish are kept informed about important events in the parish's life.
Social CommitteeConcerns itself with hospitality and the social life of the parish community. It also provides set up, clean up, and refreshments for all the major functions for St. Francis, including First Communion and Confirmation. Fundraising CommitteeIn June of 2005, a vote was taken to form a fundraising committee. This promises to be a very exciting group, and provides an opportunity to make a real difference in the parish.
